History
  • Construction completed in 2000
  • Holt Crossing opened January 3, 2001
School Information
  • Holt Crossing Intermediate houses grades five and six
  • Enrollment is approximately 700
Faculty Information
  • There are 46 certified staff members, 20 classified staff members, and 2 administrators
  • A bilingual assistant is on staff to assist Spanish speaking students and their families

  • Unified Arts classes include General music, Art, Physical education, and Wellness
  • Focus on Balanced Literacy Framework
  • Computers in every classroom

  • LD tutoring, resource room, and inclusion service models in both grade levels for students on IEPs

  • Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) - Staff members who collaborate regarding intervention for students at risk or struggling academically, behaviorally, or in regards to attendance

  • Achievement test intervention - provided after school twice a week for about 8 weeks prior to achievement tests

  • Agenda books - to record daily assignments and to help with parent-teacher communications
  • Rocket Booster mentors from Central Crossing High School

  • Cool Characters - recognizes students who demonstarte positive character traits (respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and compassion, integrity, trustworthiness, self-discipline, persevereance)

Community Involvement
  • PTA - Meetings held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
  • Rockets Review monthly parent newsletter - Sent home the first of each month
